Can I bring my child along?
Yes! Children under the age of 10 can come in for free. All children under the age of 16 need to attend with an adult.
i have a companion card, what are the rules around that?
We accept companion cards with the following conditions:
One companion per player may enter a regular meet for free - any extra companions will need to pay the entry fee
Companions are most welcome to our big events such as camp, but will need to pay the full fee to attend. If the player is a current member, the companions can access member only pricing.

Do I bring my own games? how do I organise or join a game?
You can absolutely bring your own games! We have a big library of around 300 games for you to play whilst at a meet if you don't have/want to bring your own- and if you sign up as a member, you can borrow them between meets to! Your best bet in organising a game is downloading the AfterGame App - or accessing it here.

I am a bit nervous about attending my first time, how can you help me?
We totally understand it can be a bit daunting to walk into a room of people you don't know and interact with them. If you would like some help getting started, reach out to us via email or Facebook and we will organise with you what ever we can do to help. That might include meeting you at the door and walking in with you whilst explaining the setup, or making sure we get you started with your first game with a new group of friends. Reach out and we will be more than happy to help.
We also recommend joining AfterGame and seeing what game takes your fancy, booking your seat and then watching a video on how to play. When you arrive, ask our friendly committee members who the person is running your game - we will introduce you and you can start playing!

i have only just found this hobby, will there be people for me to play with?
Absolutely! The wonderful thing about this is there is such a variety of games and people, that you won't be the only one learning! We have a very welcoming group that will be more than happy to teach and help you get into which ever game you sit down at!

Experience not necessary
Modern board gaming has been growing over the years and with the introduction of crowd funding platforms, we have been spoilt for choice from big producers to small indi producers. So don't worry if you are new to the hobby and are a bit overwhelmed with where to start! Here at MDD we welcome all levels of experience as well as all types of game types and will be more than willing to share our knowledge and passion with you!
